There's so much to do here at Effie Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Shelter Cove Resort is a nice place for that, and beautiful scenery and fine skiing is what you acquire at Willamette Pass. A lot of precipitation falls at Effie Lake; the month with most       of the rain is December, and the driest of the months is July. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things in the Central Cascade Range. Get drenched paddling on Hills Creek; you can go for a hike on the Yoran Lake Trail. Effie Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Lucile Campground is a delightful local campground, and the summit of Crater Butte can be seen from Effie Lake.
