If you are in this part of Oregon make sure to pay a visit to Echo Lake. Summertime brings highs in the 60's to Echo Lake. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Echo Lake temperatures drop to the 10's. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Echo Lake. A glorious close by hotel is Running Y Ranch; whitewater paddling is perfect

The South Pass Lake Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you need a place to stay Rocky Point Station Lodging is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. to camp here at Echo Lake is White Pine Campground. The Southern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Echo Lake gets a great deal of water; most of the snow falls through December, and July on
the other hand is the driest. There's pleasant hiking along the Moss Creek Trail, and paddling on Klamath River is so much fun. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Southern Cascade Range. You get a great vista of Aspen Butte from Echo Lake, and Echo Lake is right by the Varney Creek Trail.
