Paulina Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at; Newberry Crater is a perfect place to visit while in the neighborhood. Now, you may feel that's a load but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at East Lake. If you need a spot to stay La Quinta Inn Bend is a great choice; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Deschutes River. This lake is so wonderful.       Stay the night at North Cove Campground; you can go for a hike on the Paulina Peak Trail. East Lake gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout December; September meanwhile is the driest month. East Lake is a place with many visitors from Bend, and a splendid close by hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites. Through the summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at East Lake with nighttime lows in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are                  in the 40's while the cold winter nights at East Lake are in the 20's.
