At East Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at East Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. While you're here at East Lake you will meet lots of people from nearby Bend, and float down the rapids of Deschutes River in a kayak. Having a tremendous time at East Lake is easy.       The sight of Central Pumice Cone from East Lake is charming. Not much rainfall falls here at East Lake; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is September. Interesting geology is available here; Newberry Crater is near East Lake, and there's tremendous hiking along the Paulina Peak Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a tremendous site to spend a night or two, and why not                  camp at Warm Springs Campground if you're here at East Lake.
