Dunlap Lake is a lake worth visiting. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Hoodoo and strap some skis to your feet. Dunlap Creek is a glorious local stream, and on a good day you can explore Alder Swamp, a swamp next to Dunlap Lake. Dunlap Lake is a rather wet place mostly with a lot of precipitation; December is the month that gets the most rain while July is ordinarily the driest

| | month. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range. Going for a hike on the Mother Lode Trail is always a splendid adventure, and you're possibly into lakes, Twin Lakes is one of those close by. Detroit Lake State Park is a great local campground; you can go for a hike on the Elk Lake Trail. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Dunlap Lake; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. | |

Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Dunlap Lake temperatures dip to the 30's. And if that's not sufficient there's a load more amusing stuff to do in the Central
Cascade Range. You can run the rapids of Santiam River - North close to Dunlap Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay B and B Rentals is a tremendous site to camp. You absolutely have to go for Dunlap Lake. Deadhorse Mountain
is clearly visible from Dunlap Lake, and if you've had enough of Dunlap Lake, Elk Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Breitenbush River for all you adrenaline people, and there are great locations to explore along the Twin Lakes Trail.
