Dry warm beds await you at Mount Hood Inn; paddling on Sandy River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Devils Canyon Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; if you need a place to stay Whispering Woods (Vri) is a tremendous choice. All year is a tremendous time in the Central Cascade Range if you love the outdoors. Dumbbell Lake is right by the Cast Creek Trail,       and Cast Lake is a pleasant lake close by. Timberline Lodge has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff, and there are plenty of folks from Hood River here at Dumbbell Lake. Dumbbell Lake generally gets a lot of precipitation; all through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is wonderful, you get a great vista of Cape Horn from Dumbbell Lake, and a pretty                  lake like Devils Lake is a good place to stop by. All through the long summer days here at Dumbbell Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's while Dumbbell Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's. Dumbbell Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Cascade Range. All the outdoors enjoyable things near Dumbbell Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly. Soar down the rapids of Zigzag River in a kayak, and Dumbbell Lake is a tremendous spot to visit for more than one day, Twin Bridges Campground is a tremendous spot to camp nearby. Having a glorious time at Dumbbell Lake is painless. A fine location like Old Maid Flat here at Dumbbell Lake is too great to miss. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range, too great to be true. Hiking along the Horseshoe Ridge Trail is perfect fun; Devils Meadow Campground is a tremendous local campground.
