| | go whitewater paddling on Zigzag River. Hiking along the Devils Canyon Trail is wonderful fun; there are plenty of people from Hood River here. This place, Dumbbell Lake, it definitely has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. You can catch a sight of Cape Horn from Dumbbell Lake, and a tremendous place for whitewater paddling is Sandy River. in the 40's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Dumbbell Lake descend into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Dumbbell Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Devils Meadow
Campground is a great place for that, and why not head up to Timberline Lodge and strap some skis to your feet. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range, too tremendous to be true. Take a hike on the Horseshoe
Ridge Trail, and Dumbbell Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Twin Bridges Campground is a delightful local campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. This lake is so
wonderful. Old Maid Flat is right here at Dumbbell Lake, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Mt. Hood Ski Bowl. Cast Creek flows through this area, and if you need a place to stay Falcon's Crest Inn On Mt. Hood is a great choice.
