The beauty of Dumbbell Lake is reason enough to stop by. A lot of rainfall falls at Dumbbell Lake; most of the rain falls through December; July on the other hand is the driest. On a glorious day at Dumbbell Lake you can take a hike along the Horseshoe Ridge Trail, and you can distinguish Cape Horn from Dumbbell Lake. so wonderful. It's a tremendous idea to check out Cast Creek, it's close to Dumbbell Lake; the Devils Canyon Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. But wait,
there's more amusing stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. If you came for an overnight stay Twin Bridges Campground is a great place to camp; if you're here you can take a hike along the Cast Creek Trail. This lake is so
wonderful. You can run the rapids of Sandy River in close proximity to Dumbbell Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Whispering Woods (Vri). High temperatures at Dumbbell Lake through the summertime months are in the 70's while overnight
lows are regularly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Dumbbell Lake during the wintertime typically dip into the 30's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range.
Zigzag River is a glorious whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Dumbbell Lake, and after a long day outdoors Mount Hood Inn is a brilliant location to spend a night or two.
