It is very waterless here at Duck Lake typically; during December this area sees the most snow; July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is located in the wonderful Wallowa Mountains. At Duck Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's       overnight here at Duck Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Wildhorse River, and Pole Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Wallowa Mountains is excellent! After a long day outdoors Best Western Rama Inn & Suites is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Kettle Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much                  to do here at Duck Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Copperfield Campground is a great location for that; do take a hike on the Summit Creek Trail.
