    The beauty of Dry Lake is reason enough to stop by. So much entertaining stuff in the Blue Mountains, just astonishing. On a tremendous day at Dry Lake you can take a hike along the Coffeepot Trail. High temperatures at Dry Lake during the summertime are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Dry Lake. So much fun stuff to do at Dry Lake, so little time. Have  
   a good hiking adventure along the Owl Creek Trail; Pine Hollow is a tremendous place to spend some time.
Fort Creek is a perfect local stream; there are other locations here than Dry Lake, for example Fred Creek Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Dry Lake, you'll locate Fort Creek Reservoir which is a delightful lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Dry Lake has to offer, you can camp at Little Summit Campground. Dry Lake is
 
               pretty dried out typically; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; July is when it's the driest.
Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Blue Mountains. While you're here at Dry Lake you can take a hike along the Lone Pine Trail, and why not have a look at Fort Creek Dam since you're here. The vistas at John Day Fossil Beds National Monument will blow your mind. There's so much to do here at Dry Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lonesome Spring Campground is a nice location for that. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Mountains.
