If you are in Jefferson county it's always a good idea to stop by Dry Lake. Dry Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Cascade Range. Yeah, come here to Dry Lake for a good time. Go for a hike on the Reservation Trail, and Juniper Reservoir is a delightful lake close by. You should certainly dedicate some time to Lower Desert while you're here at Dry Lake, and a great close by hotel is Best Western Ponderosa Lodge. During the days of summer at Dry Lake

paddling spot nearby. There's so much to do here at Dry Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Street Creek Boating Site and Campground is a great location for that. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Five Pine Lodge is a perfect choice; if you came to camp Drift Campground is a great place to do that.

Crooked River Ranch RV Park
 | 18 miles away We chose this location because of my interest in the Crooked River gorge, and because it was within 1-day driving distance of John Day Fossil Beds. The park itself is quite nice...although there were parties on both sides of us, we did not feel crowded. The adjacent golf course pool is open to RV campers. It's a long walk, but a convenient short drive. There's a viewing platform overlooking the gorge, which was a plus for me. Rates were quite reasonable for the type of facility.... |
