Through the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Dry Lake drop into the 10's. At Dry Lake you don’t see much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is frequently November, that's the one that rains the most while July is usually the driest month. Dry Lake is a beautiful lake in the       Steens Mountains. You could also stop at Borax Lake while you're here at Dry Lake; it's close by, and there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the The Beef Trail. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Steens Mountains. A tour to Hot Springs will fill your soul with pleasant feelings, and Dry Lake is not the only site nearby, Lower Borax Lake Reservoir is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful.
