Do go to Mud Lake close to Dry Lake, it's a delightful lake; while you're here you can take a hike along the Mountain Wells Trail. And if that's not sufficient there's loads more exciting stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. Dry Lake is not far at all from Brookings. If the weather is pleasant here at Dry Lake, you can go for a hike along the Lower River Trail, and why not camp at China Flat Campground if you're here at Dry Lake.       Dry Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. Just can't get enough of the Coast Ranges. You'll stumble on a striking lake called Azalea Lake near Dry Lake, and whitewater paddling is good on Coquille River - South Fork. All through the summer, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Dry Lake. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 50's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Dry Lake tend to                  be in the 30's. Just can't get enough of Dry Lake. On a brilliant day at Dry Lake you can take a hike along the Bear Camp Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Barklow Mountain Campground is a good spot to camp. The high level of rain makes Dry Lake a reasonably wet place; the month with most of the rain is December, and the driest of the months is July.
