    The beauty of Dry Lake is reason enough to stop by. Be careful coming to Dry Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. Take a hike on the Lower River Trail. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the Coast Ranges has to offer. Float down the rapids of Coquille River - South Fork in a kayak; hiking along the Bear Camp Trail is splendid fun. Dry Lake is right by the Mountain Wells Trail, and Dry Lake is a good place to visit for more  
   than one day, China Flat Campground is a good place to camp nearby.
At Dry Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are mostly in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Dry Lake all through the wintertime typically fall into the 30's. This lake is located in the wonderful Coast Ranges. This lake is so wonderful. Blue Creek is a stream that you may
 
               bump into while here, and lots of folks from Brookings come here.
Paddling on Coquille River - South Fork is so much fun. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Dry Lake has to offer, you can camp at Barklow Mountain Campground. Dry Lake mostly gets much rainfall; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; July is the month with the least moisture.
