If you are in Douglas county it's always a good idea to stop by Drew Lake. All year is a delightful time in the Southern Cascade Range if you go for the outdoors. Drew Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Tiller Ranger District is a great local campground; Long Prairie is a fine place here at Drew Lake. Diamond Rock can be spotted from Drew Lake, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Brownie Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful.

If the weather is brilliant here at Drew Lake, you can go for a hike along the Canyon Number Three Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Umpqua River - South. But wait, there's more to do near Drew Lake. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Chicago Trail; camping at West Fork Trail Creek Mill is always a good experience. | |

All through the summertime, highs generally are in the 80's at Drew Lake while night lows are generally in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Drew Lake.
This lake
is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. The amount of precipitation that falls at Drew Lake is close to the national average; December is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is July.
Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Southern Cascade Range. This is a popular place for folks from Medford.
