So many exciting things in the Wallowa Mountains, just phenomenal. After a long day outdoors Baker City Super 8 Motel is a good location to spend a night or two, and there are other places here than Douglas Lake, for example Craig Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Wallowa Lake State Park is a tremendous place to camp, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop by       Crescent Lake. Douglas Lake gets very little rain; during December this area sees the most snow; the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Rama Inn & Suites is a glorious site to get some rest; close by Glacier Pass is a fine place to go. There is a brilliant hiking trail in close proximity to Douglas Lake called the Copper Creek Trail; Eagle Cap is clearly visible from Douglas Lake. Douglas Lake is located in the Wallowa                  Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. On a splendid day at Douglas Lake you can take a hike along the Kettle Creek Trail; this region is dominated by the Wallowa Mountains. All through the summer highs here at Douglas Lake reach the 80's, and the night is fairly chillier of course, regularly in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows through the winter for Douglas Lake tend to be in the 10's. Camping is available at Scenic Meadows RV Park, and if you're here at Douglas Lake it's a nice idea to pop by Lake Basin. And that's not all there is to do here in the Wallowa Mountains.
