Donaca Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Country Star Recreational Vehicle Park is a glorious local campground, and since you're here, you could visit Donaca Creek. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. A fine location to camp here at Donaca Lake is Tombstone Prairie Campground, and lakes are such serene       spots, why not check out Riggs Lake. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Donaca Lake. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Cool Camp Trail, and glide down the rapids of Santiam River - North in a kayak. Donaca Lake gets a large amount of water; during December this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is July. Hiking along the Swamp Peak Trail is tremendous fun, and get drenched paddling on Santiam                  River - Middle. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Donaca Lake, checking out Knob Rock is a must; Hoodoo is a very popular ski area in the vicinity. High temperatures at Donaca Lake during the warm months are in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Donaca Lake. All year is a good time in the Central Cascade Range if you have a thing about the outdoors.
