Country Star Recreational Vehicle Park is a great local campground; since you're here you can take a hike along the Swamp Peak Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Donaca Lake is a reasonably wet place mostly with a good deal of rain; during December this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is July. Summertime highs       at Donaca Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's, and the overnight is quite colder of course, usually in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are mostly in the 40's with temperatures at Donaca Lake dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Cascade Range. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Central Cascade Range. Santiam River - Middle has a nice whitewater                  paddling spot close by, and Tombstone Prairie Campground is a good campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is great here at Donaca Lake, you can go for a hike along the Cool Camp Trail, and whitewater paddling is perfect on Santiam River - North. Very stunning scenery and magnificent skiing is what you get at Hoodoo, of course you could also visit Riggs Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Be careful coming to Donaca Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Knob Rock is an interesting thing to catch a glimpse of if you're here at Donaca Lake, and unsurprisingly Donaca Creek flows through this region.
