If you are in this part of Oregon make sure to pay a visit to Don Lake. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Don Lake. Scar Mountain is delightful and can be seen from Don Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Country Star Recreational Vehicle Park is a delightful site to camp. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Don Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's.

| | The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Don Lake. A quick tour to Scar Creek in the neighborhood of Don Lake is a splendid idea, and do take a hike on the Straight Creek Cat Trail. Be careful coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever want to go back home again. Parish Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; hey, Gotta ski right? is so wonderful. A great site for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Don Lake is Santiam River - North, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Pyramid Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along
the Gordan Peak Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Don Lake gets a great deal of water; during the month of December you get the most rain around here; July is when it's the driest. That right there is a load
of cool things already but it goes on, the Central Cascade Range has it all. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Breitenbush River, and if you need a site to stay Lodge at Suttle
Lake is a nice choice. While you're here at Don Lake, you could also visit gorgeous Riggs Lake, and camping is available at Tombstone Prairie Campground.
