It's always fun to stop by Dollar Lake. After a long day outdoors Best Western Rama Inn & Suites is a nice place to spend a night or two, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Dollar Lake; Copper Creek Trail is a great local trail. The Wallowa Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Near Dollar Lake you find Tenderfoot Pass which is a pleasant spot to explore, and dry warm beds await you at Baker City Super 8 Motel.

| | hiking is available along the Main Creek Trail, and the peak of Aneroid Mountain can be made out from Dollar Lake. It is very dried up here at Dollar Lake mostly; during December this area sees the most snow, and the driest of the months is July. All the outdoors cool stuff in the Wallowa Mountains will keep you coming back again and again.

highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Dollar Lake throughout the winter regularly plunge into the 10's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Wallowa Mountains. Not far from Dollar Lake, you'll come across Aneroid Lake which is
a gorgeous lake, and Wallowa Lake State Park is a delightful campground here. But wait, there's more to do near Dollar Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Scenic Meadows RV Park is a brilliant place to camp, and don't leave Dollar Lake without first going for a hike along the Kettle Creek Trail.
