If you are in Harney county it's always a good idea to stop by Dicks Reservoir. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Blue Mountains. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Mountains. Pine Knoll Basin is a brilliant location to stretch your legs a bit; Dicks Reservoir is right by the Utley Creek Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at The Timbers Inn and RV Park; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Hines. At Dicks

| | Reservoir you don’t see much rain; November is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is September. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the vicinity of Dicks Reservoir will keep you coming back many times. A great spot right next door to Dicks Reservoir is Dead Mule Canyon, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Beaverdam Trail.

stay, and don't forget to take a brilliant little journey to Cricket Creek. So many enjoyable things to do in the Blue Mountains, not sufficient time. Best Western Rory & Ryan Inns is a good site to get some rest, and if you get bored of Dicks Reservoir you could also stop by nearby Basin Reservoir.
