Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Southern Cascade Range. After a long day outdoors Mazama Village Motor Inn is a pleasant site to spend a night or two, and why not camp at Diamond Lake RV Park while you're here at Diamond Lake. All through the long summer days here at Diamond Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 80's; the nighttime is rather colder of course, typically       in the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Diamond Lake temperatures plunge to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Horse Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Whispering Pines Motel. Diamond Lake gets a good deal of water; during the month of November you get the most rain around here, and July on the other hand is the driest. Have a good hiking adventure along the Thielsen                  Creek Trail, and it's a splendid idea to take a look at Camp Creek. This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Southern Cascade Range will keep you coming back over and over. All our national parks are wonderful places to stop at, and Crater Lake National Park is no exception. So much exciting stuff to do here at Diamond Lake, too splendid to be true. Take a hike on the Tipsoo Trail, and if you're looking for a beach close by we recommend Pumice Beach.
