You definitely must go for the Southern Cascade Range. All through the summer months, highs regularly are in the 80's at Diamond Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Diamond Lake. What a location this is for outdoors people. Crater Lake National Park is a very brilliant place to stop       by right next door to Diamond Lake, and going for a hike on the Tipsoo Trail is always a good adventure. Diamond Lake is a beautiful lake in the Southern Cascade Range. Diamond Lake is a relatively wet place frequently with a great deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is typically November, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. Near Diamond Lake you hit upon the Mount Bailey Trail                  which is a great hiking trail, naturally you could also pop by Teal Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Go for a hike on the Thielsen Creek Trail; wonderful skiing awaits you at Willamette Pass. These mountains rock, just look at all the amusing things to do in the Southern Cascade Range. Camp Creek flows through this area; camping at Diamond Lake RV Park is always a brilliant experience.
