This lake is so wonderful. Santiam River - North is a brilliant whitewater spot near Detroit Lake; Tumble Rock is a brilliant place to go to while in the region. While you're here at Detroit Lake you can take a hike along the Volcano Trail, and there's some flowing water nearby, Cumley Creek is a stream you can visit while you're here. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in       the Central Cascade Range. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Elkhorn Creek, and the peak of Sardine Mountain can be made out from Detroit Lake. Detroit Dam is not far at all from Detroit Lake. A good deal of rainfall falls at Detroit Lake; most of the rain falls all through December; July meanwhile is the driest month.
