For the duration of the long summer days at Despain Reservoir temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows  
   in the 30's overnight here at Despain Reservoir. That right there is lots of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Siskiyou Mountains has it all. Lakes? Sure, Bingham Reservoir is in the vicinity, and why not camp at Emigrant Lake since you're here at Despain Reservoir.
Be careful coming to the Siskiyou Mountains, you might not ever wanna return home again. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Red Mountain Trail, and this is a popular location
 
               for people from Medford. This lake is so wonderful. This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time. Skou Dam is a site that is near Despain Reservoir; do take a hike on the Canyon Number Three Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. The Chicago Trail offers hiking at its best; dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn Suites White City. From a rainfall point of view Despain Reservoir is a pretty typical location; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily December, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is July. A splendid site to camp here at Despain Reservoir is Jackson County Parks and Rec; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Moore Reservoir.

If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
