This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range. Willamette Pass is a perfect local ski area; in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Horse Creek. Twin Springs Campground is a fine campground here, and while you're here, you could also check out pretty Blaze Lake. You get       a glorious panorama of Irish Mountain from Dennis Lake, and whitewater paddling is nice on McKenzie River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do next to Dennis Lake. Hiking along the Elk Creek Trail is brilliant fun; Dennis Lake is a great spot to camp, East Lake Resort and RV Parks is a great spot. All the outdoors cool things in the Central Cascade Range will keep you coming back again and again. Why                  not take a refreshing hike along the Packsaddle Mountain Trail; do take a hike on the Lakeside Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Mt. Bachelor are so inviting nobody can resist, and a splendid spot like Cougar Flat here at Dennis Lake is too great to miss. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Dennis Lake. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Dennis Lake.
