Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Deschutes River, and while you're here why not visit Buckhorn Canyon. Not much precipitation falls here at Deep Canyon Reservoir; through the month of December you get the most snow around here,       and the driest of the months is July. All through the long summer days at Deep Canyon Reservoir highs are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Deep Canyon Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Eagle Crest Resort is a nice spot to get some rest; you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Reservation Trail. There's                  just no way somebody can get bored here at Deep Canyon Reservoir. Dry Lake is a fine lake right next door to Deep Canyon Reservoir, and during your tour here you'll meet some people from Bend for sure. Deep Canyon Reservoir is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Crooked River Ranch is a glorious local campground; there are other spots here than Deep Canyon Reservoir, for example McKenzie Canyon Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful.
