If you are in Wallowa county it's always a good idea to stop by Deadman Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Copper Creek Trail, and if you need a location to stay Best Western Rama Inn & Suites is a great choice. High temperatures at Deadman Lake during the warmest time of the year are in the 80's; the overnight is quite cooler of course, typically in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and

| | overnight lows in the 10's for Deadman Lake. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Wallowa Mountains. A tremendous nearby hotel is Baker City Super 8 Motel, and the summit of Sawtooth Peak can be distinguished from Deadman Lake.

outdoors, just come on down to Deadman Lake. Hiking along the North Minam Trail is perfect fun, and Billy Jones Creek is close to Deadman Lake and is always a diversion to explore.
Take a hike on the Bowman Trail, and if you came
to camp Nez Perce Trailer and RV Park is a nice place to do that. While you're here at Deadman Lake it's a great idea to visit Granite Meadow, and Deadman Lake is not the only place close by, Billy Jones Lake is a close by lake. Deadman
Lake is mostly a pretty dried up location; December is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest of the months is July.
