Do stop by Dead Cow Lake while you're in this part of Oregon. So much cool stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time. Best Western Oakridge Inn is a splendid site to get some rest, and the Twin Lakes Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. All the water falling down from the sky makes Dead Cow Lake a wet place; most of the rain falls throughout November; July is the month with the least moisture. | | let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; there's whitewater on Umpqua River - North for all you adrenaline kick people. A cool spot to check out near Dead Cow Lake is Flat Rock, and lakes are such peaceful spots, why not stop at Hemlock Lake. This site, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors cool stuff. The summit of Quartz Mountain can be observed from Dead Cow Lake, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Panther Trail. | |

You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. A great location like Horn Prairie here at Dead Cow Lake is too delightful to miss, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Little River.
This lake is so wonderful. A beautiful lake like Harpham Lake near Dead Cow Lake is a good site to go to. There's so much to do here at Dead Cow Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Big Twin Lakes Campground is a great place
for that. Dead Cow Lake is located in the Central Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Dead Cow Lake has to offer, you can camp at Buckhead Mountain Campground, also Hemlock
Meadows Dam is worth a visit while you're here. High temperatures at Dead Cow Lake during the months of summer are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. Highs all through the wintertime are commonly in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Dead Cow Lake dip into the 30's.
