Go for a hike on the Twin Peaks Trail, and almost certainly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Brittany Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Dans Lake. Mt. Bachelor has tremendous slopes and a friendly staff, and needless to say, this is a brilliant area for people who like lakes, Harvey Lake       is a lake close at hand. Dans Lake frequently gets a good deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is December, and the driest of the months is July. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Horse Creek, and why not camp at Twin Springs Campground since you're here at Dans Lake. Through the warm days of summer highs                  here at Dans Lake get into the 80's while night lows are commonly in the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Dans Lake are in the 20's. Near Dans Lake you find the Crain Prairie Trail which is a good hiking trail, and a brilliant site for whitewater paddling is McKenzie River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful.
