MORE STUFF NEARBY:

Crooked River Ranch RV Park
We chose this location because of my interest in the Crooked River gorge, and because it was within 1-day driving distance of John Day Fossil Beds. The park itself is quite nice...although there were parties on both sides of us, we did not feel crowded. The adjacent golf course pool is open to RV campers. It's a long walk, but a convenient short drive. There's a viewing platform overlooking the gorge, which was a plus for me. Rates were quite reasonable for the type of facility....

Lake Simtustus
15 miles away
Simtustus is a decent fishery with minimal fish being caught daily....

Mayfield Pond
17 miles away
People need to pick up after themselves. The place is littered with trash and shotgun shells!...There is also catfish cause I just caught one last night....Can someone tell me what kind of fish are in Mayfield pond?...Mayfield is filled with small mouth bass....
