For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Cultus Lake temperatures plunge to the 30's. That right there is a heap of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Central Cascade Range has it all. There is a tremendous hiking trail in the vicinity of Cultus Lake called the White Rock       Trail, and a charming lake like Sampson Lake is a fine place to have a look at. Cultus Lake is a wet site that gets a large amount of rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here, and July on the other hand is the driest. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Take a little spree to Cultus Creek if you're here at Cultus Lake, and Deadman Mountain is clearly visible from Cultus Lake. Going for a hike on the                  Straight Creek Trail is always a delightful adventure; Shadow Falls is a great local attraction. Cultus Lake truly is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Umpqua River - South, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Canyonville Inn & Suites. This lake is so wonderful. Red Top Spring Helipond is a fine lake close to Cultus Lake, and camping at Tiller RV Park is always a glorious experience. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Central Cascade Range.
