Many people like to go to Cultus Lake. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. At Cultus Lake through the summertime highs are in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. For the period of the winter the highs are generally in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Cultus Lake temperatures sink to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Cultus Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a
day at, Upper Campground is a magnificent local campground, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Mt. Bachelor.
This lake is so wonderful. So many exciting things in the Central Cascade Range, just extraordinary. A fine nearby hotel is Best Western Newberry Station, and South Corral Lake is a brilliant lake close by. The snow is pleasant at Willamette Pass, and hiking along the Cultus Lake Trail is pleasant fun.
While you're

here at Cultus Lake you can take a hike along the Snowshoe Lake Trail, and at Cultus Lake you can catch a sight of Cultus Mountain. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are beyond doubt bountiful here at Cultus Lake. There's so much to do here at Cultus Lake that you need to camp here for a while, East Lake Resort and RV Parks is a perfect location for that, and there are other places here than Cultus Lake, for example Comma Lake.

One of the best of the best small lakes i have fished, out of bend ore. Great family lake....

Winopee Lake
Went to Winopee lake this weekend...it was a little dissapointing because the lake is about 45% covered with reeds and lilly pads. The Eastern shore is the only one you can accesst the water without having to wade through reeds. There is quite a few algae blooms so swimming isn't an option. Overall, the view was nice but not spectacular. There are three decent campsites at the lake, popular with horse camps. The best of the three sites is the one on the Eastern bank, take the first trail you come accross before reaching the junction for sno-shoe lake. The second and third campsites are on the West bank and are a little harder to find...head for the clifs and you are there....

North Twin Lake
Twin lakes are great. Beautifully serene and one of the best beaches in central Oregon as north twin....

Davis Lake
11 miles away
This website needs updating. I was there on Aug. 2nd,3rd, and 4th 2007. There are a LOT of bass there. We saw NO trout at all, and no one we talked to had caught or seen one. I was there with 2 others for bass fishing. there is no camping at the west boat launch area. Day use only. There are 2 camp sites on the east side. The Lava Flow site is closed, and has been for some time. There is a primative site there. No water or elec. and very primative boat launching area. You have to pole or row through the tules to get out on the lake. The old campground is closed because of Eagles nest there. Eagles are no longer on the endangerd spieces list. Why not re-open that area. it has a great boat ramp. Bass fishing was great, but not many large fish when we were there. Lots of smaller bass. We were told it was real good in late June and first half of July. We will try again next year....
