     These mountains rock, just explore all the exciting stuff to do in the Southern Cascade Range. Take a hike on the Dutton Creek Trail; while you're here, do take a spree to Chaski Bay. Crater Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually November, that's the one that rains the most while July is typically the driest month. You completely have to go for the Southern Cascade Range.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood
 
   you can always take a look at nearby Quillwort Pond; you can stay the night at Mazama Campground. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Crater Peak Trail, and Crater Lake is a location with many visitors from Klamath Falls. This lake is so wonderful. The Garfield Peak Trail offers hiking at its best. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Crater Lake has to offer, you can camp at Diamond Lake RV Park.
The Southern Cascade Range scenery is always
 
               beautiful. Through the summertime, highs typically are in the 80's at Crater Lake; the night is somewhat cooler of course, typically in the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Crater Lake tend to be in the 20's. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool things the area near Crater Lake has to offer. Not far from Crater Lake, you'll discover Whitehorse Pond which is a charming lake, and don't miss out on a journey to Crater Lake National Park while you're here.

This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking.
