Crane Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Looking for something in the neighborhood of Crane Lake? Aarons Lake is close at hand, and Sauvie Island Dam is not far at all from Crane Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Sauvie Cove Store and RV Park is a splendid place to camp; beaches are great and Lyons Beach is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. Gilbert River is a magnificent local stream, obviously you could also visit Domeyer Lake

While you're here at Crane Lake you will meet lots of people from close by Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton, and since you're here, do take a trip to Ammunition Point. All the water falling down from the sky makes Crane Lake a wet place; the month with most of the rain is December, and July is the month with the least moisture. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the neighborhood of Crane Lake will keep you coming back | |

repeatedly. Salene Lake is a delightful spot to check out, and La Quinta Inn & Suites Vancouver is a tremendous site to get some rest.
Paddling on Kalama River is so much fun, and a brilliant swamp near Crane Lake is Crane Slough.
Having a good time at Crane Lake is simple. Through the warm months highs here at Crane Lake get into the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are
normally in the 40's; night lows in the 30's for Crane Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because St Helens Golf Course is close by, and if you need a location to stay Best Western Oak
Meadows Inn is a splendid choice. Reeder Beach RV Park is a nice local campground; Fishtrap Shoal is unquestionably a brilliant location to stop at.

Sturgeon Lake is a GREAT place to fish at on Sauvie Island. For exsample, There are WARM WATER SPECIES like: CATFISH, BASS, PANFISH, PERCH, WALLEYE & LOT MORE! There are COLD WATER SPECIES in the lake too, like: Trout. It is VERY BEAUTIFUL ESPECALLY IN FALL.... |

*WARNING* Lewisville Pk to DayBreak on July 2, 2009. Water very low and very rocky using tubes and raft. Had to get out often and dislodge from rocks or walk over river rock. Had to walk from 1/4 sign to Daybreak all the way out and was VERY UNHAPPY. Walk was actually about a mile to parking area over river rock and then very narrow trail. Trails not marked if you have to get out and walk because water was TOO low (only a few inches deep). Would have appreciated uptodate info at booth at Lewisville entrance. Was told rafting was fine to Daybreak. Trip took 5.5 hours and was told it would take 2.5.... |
