This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Cox Reservoir is great fun, Bingham Prairie Campground is a great local campground, and you'll meet a lot of people from Prineville here. So many exciting things in the Blue Mountains, just unbelievable. Places like Spears Meadow are delightful to have a look at, and hey, Buck Creek is a great local stream. Summertime       brings highs in the 80's to Cox Reservoir. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and night lows at Cox Reservoir all through the winter regularly sink into the 20's. Cox Reservoir gets very little precipitation; the wettest month of the year is commonly December, that's the one that rains the most, and July on the other hand is the driest. It's always pleasant to stop by Buck Spring; Best Western                  Prineville Inn is a brilliant place to get some rest.
