Do take a look at R Reservoir near Cow Waterhole, it's a pretty lake, and the Fake Creek Trail is a great hiking trail nearby.       For the duration of the summertime at Cow Waterhole highs are regularly in the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
