Cougar Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Central Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent place for whitewater paddling near Cougar Reservoir is Lookout Creek. If you need a place to stay Best Western Oakridge Inn is a brilliant choice; some nearby water includes Annie Creek. High temperatures at Cougar Reservoir throughout the summertime months are in the 70's while       night lows are regularly in the 40's. For the period of the wintertime highs are usually in the 40's while Cougar Reservoir night low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more exciting stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. Cougar Dam is worth visiting since you're here. Lakes? Sure, Strube Lake is close by. And that's not all you can do here at Cougar Reservoir. Hidden Lake is a good lake in the neighborhood                  of Cougar Reservoir, and the Tipsoo Trail is a nice hiking trail nearby. Cougar Reservoir gets lots of water; November is when you get the most rain here while July is regularly the driest month. There is a delightful hiking trail in the vicinity of Cougar Reservoir called the Frissell Point Trail, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Blue River. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Cougar Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Holiday Farm RV Resort is a wonderful place for that; Tokatee Golf Club is a golf course close by. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more fun things to do here in the Central Cascade Range.
