It's always fun to stop by Cougar Pond. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Baker City is a delightful place to spend a night or two; North Fork Rock Creek is close to Cougar Pond and is always a bliss to visit. All through the summer highs here at Cougar Pond reach the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Cougar

Really great skiing awaits you at Anthony Lakes, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Bucket Lake. one of the overriding highlights of the surroundings of Cougar Pond is Rock Creek Butte. Just can't get enough of the Blue Mountains. If the weather is pleasant here at Cougar Pond, you can go for a hike along the Elkhorn Crest Trail;
North Fork Anthony Campground is a fine campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Rock Lake Dam is an exciting thing to check out, and Rocky Ford Campground is a great local campground. Cougar Pond is located in the Blue Mountains.
While you're here at Cougar Pond it's a nice idea to stop at Cougar Basin, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Rock Creek Lake Trail. Around Cougar Pond you don’t get a lot of rain; during December this area sees
the most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Sunridge Inn, and going for a hike along the Twin Lakes Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
