High temperatures at Cougar Lake all through the summer months are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while Cougar Lake overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 30's. That right there is heaps of amusing things already but it goes on, the Central Cascade Range has it all. Be careful       coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever want to go home again. Dry warm beds await you at All Season's Motel. There's so much to do here at Cougar Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Silver Fox RV Park is a fine location for that. So much amusing stuff to do here at Cougar Lake, too tremendous to be true. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Clackamas River; close by you hit upon the South Fork Mountain Trail which is a fine hiking                  trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Cascade Range. The peak of Divide Butte can be seen from Cougar Lake; Clackamas River - South Fork has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby. All the water falling down from the sky makes Cougar Lake a wet spot; the month with most of the rain is December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The Baty Silver King Trail is a pleasant hiking trail in the vicinity of Cougar Lake; if you need a location to stay Lakeside Motel is a tremendous choice. This lake is so wonderful. On a good day at Cougar Lake you can take a hike along the High Camp Trail.
