The high level of rainfall makes Cottonwood Pond a pretty wet place; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. Mount Baldy is painless to spot from Cottonwood Pond, and Best Western Dallas Inn & Suites is a nice site to get some rest. You don’t have to go far from Cottonwood Pond to see the water at Morgan Brothers       Dam; dry warm beds await you at Paragon Motel. Any time is a great time at Cottonwood Pond if you adore the outdoors. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Mill Creek, and of course Harland Slough flows through this vicinity. Camping at Cottonwood Pond is splendid fun, Ash Creek Mobile Park is a splendid local campground, and since you're here you can play some golf at Dallas Golf Links. Mulkey RV Park is a good                  campground here, and not far from Cottonwood Pond you'll hit upon Boeder Pond which is a beautiful lake. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Cottonwood Pond reach the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's.
