Copper Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Cascade Range. Through the days of summer here at Copper Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while Copper Lake night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 30's. | | Camp Trail. This place rules, just check out all the cool stuff to do right next door to Copper Lake. Mollala River - South Fork has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by; a trip to Gawley Basin revitalizes the spirit. Mud Springs is always fun to check out. Camp is a pleasant location to camp nearby, and going for a hike along the Baty Silver King Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Any time is a great time at Copper Lake if you like the outdoors. Be careful
coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna return back home again. For you golfers we recommend close by Elkhorn Valley Golf Course; don't forget to take a nice little journey to Fibre Creek. Yeah, come up here
to the Central Cascade Range for a nice time. Hiking along the Pine Crest Trail is delightful fun, and here at Copper Lake you can see Dog Rock. Copper Lake is not the only place close by, Rhody Lake is a close by lake, and Picture
Point is something you shouldn't miss since you're here. A lot of rain falls at Copper Lake; December is the wettest month with most rain, and July is when it's the driest.

Pine Crest Trail
 | ... we were disappointed to find that S. Mollala Forest Rd narrows and now effectively ends. Actually, it continues, but the road is impeded by a gate sporting many 'no trespassing' signs and marking it 'private property'. When we got to this point, we were just about to turn around and go home when another car drove past us onto the road. Having driven for several hours to get there, we dared to venture further, and followed the car despite the many warnings on the gate. Now, if you are reading this please heed my advice... never do what we did. Do not try to find this trail. Listen to signs. They are usually there for a reason. We could not locate the next road to turn on because all the old street signs had been removed and all of the old turn-offs warned away the unauthorized with huge boulders blocking the road, locked gates and more no-trespassing signs. After taking some pictures of beautifully dilapidated country houses, we decided to call it a day and return home empty handed.
