Copper Lake is located in the Central Cascade Range. So much exciting stuff to do at Copper Lake, so little time. If you came for an overnight stay East Lake Resort and RV Parks is a wonderful spot to camp; why not take a refreshing hike along the Snowshoe Lake Trail. Copper Lake commonly gets lots of rain; the wettest month of the year is frequently December, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is July. All the outdoors exciting stuff

| | in the Central Cascade Range will keep you coming back many times. Really brilliant skiing awaits you at Mt. Bachelor. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range. If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Horse Creek, and Simon Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. Upper Campground is a nice local campground, and if you get bored of Copper Lake you could also have a look at close by Cathy | |

Lake. You can never get enough of the good skiing at Willamette Pass, and the Winopee Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs regularly are in the 80's at Copper Lake; during
summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's, and overnight lows at Copper Lake throughout the winter generally dip into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather
is pretty, you obtain a tremendous vista of Pillar Peak from Copper Lake, and Copper Lake is right by the Packsaddle Mountain Trail.

Winopee Lake
 | Went to Winopee lake this weekend...it was a little dissapointing because the lake is about 45% covered with reeds and lilly pads. The Eastern shore is the only one you can accesst the water without having to wade through reeds. There is quite a few algae blooms so swimming isn't an option. Overall, the view was nice but not spectacular. There are three decent campsites at the lake, popular with horse camps. The best of the three sites is the one on the Eastern bank, take the first trail you come accross before reaching the junction for sno-shoe lake. The second and third campsites are on the West bank and are a little harder to find...head for the clifs and you are there.... |

Davis Lake
 | 12 miles away This website needs updating. I was there on Aug. 2nd,3rd, and 4th 2007. There are a LOT of bass there. We saw NO trout at all, and no one we talked to had caught or seen one. I was there with 2 others for bass fishing. there is no camping at the west boat launch area. Day use only. There are 2 camp sites on the east side. The Lava Flow site is closed, and has been for some time. There is a primative site there. No water or elec. and very primative boat launching area. You have to pole or row through the tules to get out on the lake. The old campground is closed because of Eagles nest there. Eagles are no longer on the endangerd spieces list. Why not re-open that area. it has a great boat ramp. Bass fishing was great, but not many large fish when we were there. Lots of smaller bass. We were told it was real good in late June and first half of July. We will try again next year.... |
