There's pleasant hiking along the Mink Lake Loop Trail, and get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Horse Creek. There are other spots here than Copepod Lake, for example Vera Lake, and do put some time aside to spend at Wright Spring while you're here at Copepod Lake. Having a great time in the Central Cascade Range is simple. There's so much to do here at Copepod Lake that       you need to camp here for a while, East Lake Resort and RV Parks is a perfect site for that, and pleasant hiking is available along the Mud Lake Trail. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Copepod Lake. Lakes are such calm spots, why not explore Gnat Lake near Copepod Lake, and swamps don’t sound that good but Cabin Meadows in close proximity to Copepod Lake is relatively good. This lake is so wonderful. Copepod Lake is pleasant enough to spend                  more than a day at, Upper Campground is a pleasant local campground; what would winter be without some skiing at Mt. Bachelor. High temperatures at Copepod Lake during the months of summer are in the 80's with night lows in the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Copepod Lake drop into the 20's. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Copepod Lake; Lake Way is a glorious local trail, and Mink Lake Basin is a great place. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Willamette Pass while you're here.
