Do stop by Colt Lake while you're in this part of Oregon. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. Camping at Upper Campground is always a delightful experience, and the Island Meadow Trail is a fine hiking trail close by. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Colt Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. All through the winter highs are typically in the 30's, and winter nights come with

| | lows in the 20's to Colt Lake. And if that's not enough there's lots more cool things to do in the Central Cascade Range. Colt Lake is not the only place close by, Denude Lake is a close by lake, and Horse Creek is a splendid whitewater spot close by. Colt Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, East Lake Resort and RV Parks is a magnificent local campground; if you're here at Colt Lake it's a brilliant idea to pop by Island Meadow. something close to Colt Lake? Camelot Lake is in the neighborhood, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Horse Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Very scenic scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Hoodoo.
The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Squaw Creek, and nearby you come across the Horse Lake Trail which
is a great hiking trail. What a place this is for outdoors people. What would winter be without some skiing at Mt. Bachelor; the summit of Red Hill can be spotted from Colt Lake. The high level of rainfall makes Colt Lake a reasonably
wet spot; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
