This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Owl Creek Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and the views at John Day Fossil Beds National Monument will blow your mind. At Collins Reservoir you don’t see much rainfall; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. For the duration of the months of summer       highs here at Collins Reservoir reach the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Collins Reservoir tend to be in the 20's. Camping at Collins Reservoir is brilliant fun, Lonesome Spring Campground is a brilliant local campground; why not a little side journey to Fry Creek. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Blue Mountains. Chambers                  Spring is an inspiring place to visit while you're here, and not far from Collins Reservoir you obtain some glorious water scenery at Collins Dam.
