Clear Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Be careful coming to the Coast Ranges, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Take a side tour to Alder Creek; a day at Sunset Beach is time well spent. Swamps don’t sound that great but Brallier Swamp near Clear Lake is pretty great. Yeah, come up here to the Coast Ranges for a good time. You'll meet a lot of people from Astoria here; Tansy Point is rather close. This lake is so wonderful. After a long

| | day outdoors Best Western Astoria Inn is a delightful location to spend a night or two, and brilliant hiking is available along the Cannon Beach Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Coast Ranges. The high level of rain makes Clear Lake a reasonably wet place; most of the rain falls through December, and the driest of the months is July. While you're here at Clear Lake it's a great idea to have a look at Hammond Boat Basin; Astoria Golf & Country Club | |

is a golf course nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Clear Lake, you'll locate Shag Lake which is a scenic lake; a trip to Fort Clatsop National Memorial is recommended. Just can't get enough of Clear Lake. Stay the night
at K O A Kampgrounds, and there are other places here than Clear Lake, for example Creep and Crawl Lake. High temperatures at Clear Lake during the days of summer are in the 60's. Summer night lows drop down to the 40's. For the
period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Clear Lake temperatures descend to the 30's. Clear Lake is a fine spot to visit for more than one day, Kampers West Kampground is a fine spot to camp nearby; if you need a location to stay Red Lion Inn Astoria is a good choice.

Driftwood RV Park
 | 11 miles away ...ated on the Long Beach peninsula at the mouth of the Columbia river. The Park is 2. 2 acres with 56 sites on it. All sites are grass, tables at each site, full hook-up with cable and Wi-Fi available. We are 2. 5 blocks from the beach and 14 blocks from downtown. We have showers, laundry, and a meeting hall available to groups. Our Park is perpendicular to the highway so most sites are well away from the road. There are hiking and bicycling trails, a national wildlife refuge, two beautiful light houses and much history dating back to Lewis and Clark's discovery in 1805. A great place to do exploring, fishing, hiking, and just being able to set on the beach and enjoy nature.
The town of Long Beach still retains some of the old charm from the 40's and 50's, yet being able to provide you with up to date services. Great dinning is available from several restaurants. Horse back riding, the Dunes Beach trail that now leads from Ilwaco north to north 16th St in Long Beach (7+ miles).
