If you are traveling by, why not stop by Clayton Reservoir. Clayton Reservoir is pretty dried up mostly; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Having a great time at Clayton Reservoir is trouble-free. If you came to camp Little Summit Campground is a good site to do that. The Blue Mountains scenery is always beautiful.

| | at its best; if you're here, you could also explore pretty Hornet Reservoir. Clayton Reservoir is right by the Coffeepot Trail, and John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is a great local destination. That right there is loads of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Blue Mountains has it all. Hiking along the Black Canyon Trail is delightful fun; Bull Spring is a delightful local attraction.

are commonly in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's while Clayton Reservoir overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. Do visit Antelope Reservoir in the vicinity
of Clayton Reservoir, it's a picturesque lake, and camping at Twin Springs Campground is always a wonderful experience.
