Clark Lake is one of the lakes here in the Blue Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Do stop at Hubbel Lake near Clark Lake, it's a delightful lake, and get your heart beating on the splendid whitewater of John Day River. Just can't get enough of the Blue Mountains. On a gorgeous day you get a view of Indian Mountain from Clark Lake; there's some attention-grabbing stuff to observe at Clark Lake Dam in the neighborhood       of Clark Lake. Clark Lake is generally a reasonably dried up place; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest of the months is July. A visit to John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is worthwhile. There's so much to do here at Clark Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Fossil Motel and Trailer Park is a nice location for that, and it's a brilliant idea to check out Camp Creek. At Clark Lake throughout the months of summer                  highs are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Clark Lake sink into the 20's.   Econo Lodge Boardman, Boardman 50 miles away Free high-speed Internet available.
