If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Cheval Lake. Here at Cheval Lake you can catch a glimpse of Minam Peak; Long Lake is a great lake close by. Nez Perce Trailer and RV Park is a tremendous local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Baker City Super 8 Motel. This lake is so wonderful. Elk Creek is a wonderful local stream, and on a tremendous       day you can take a hike along the North Minam Trail. This lake is so wonderful. All through the months of summer at Cheval Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's with temperatures at Cheval Lake dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. Cheval Lake is located in the Wallowa Mountains. And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more enjoyable stuff to do in the                  Wallowa Mountains. While you're here at Cheval Lake you can take a hike along the Copper Creek Trail, and Granite Gulch is a great place to stop by. A picturesque lake like Hazel Lake right next door to Cheval Lake is a good place to pop by, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Bowman Trail. Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Wallowa Mountains.
