The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Coast Ranges. There are some great whitewater spots on Smith River - North Fork, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Vulcan Lake. So much amusing stuff in the Coast Ranges, just astonishing. There's whitewater on Illinois River for all you adrenaline people. Why not       take a refreshing hike along the Chetco Divide Trail, and a magnificent close by hotel is Best Western Beachfront Inn. Good hiking is available along the Chetco Peak Trail; if you came to camp Shelly Creek Campground is a pleasant place to do that. Summertime at Chetco Lake comes with high temperatures in the 60's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's.
