This lake is so wonderful. The Moore Creek Trail is a tremendous hiking trail near Charlton Lake, and camping is available at Shelter Cove Resort. So much exciting stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time. On a glorious       day at Charlton Lake you can take a hike along the Twin Peaks Trail, and if you need a place to stay Woodsman Country Lodge is a brilliant choice. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. If you came for an overnight stay North Wickiup Campground is a splendid place to camp, and the sight of charming Charlton Butte is glorious. So much exciting stuff near Charlton Lake, truly mind-blowing. Willamette Pass has good slopes and                  a friendly staff, and Round Meadow is a swamp close to Charlton Lake. Charlton Lake gets a large amount of water; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is July. Throughout the months of summer here at Charlton Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while Charlton Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's.
