Why not stop by Chapman Lake if you're passing through these parts. At Chapman Lake you don’t see much precipitation; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. A great close by hotel is Windmill Inn And Suites Of Ashland; going for a hike on the Mount Ashland Trail is always a great adventure. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Chapman Lake has to offer, you can camp at Glenyan Campground Of Ashland, and glide down the rapids of Jenny Creek in a kayak. skiing at Mt. Ashland; a journey to Chapman Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Tom Spring.
This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Ashland City Golf Course is always a pleasure, and a glorious place
is Burns Gulch. There are great sites to look at along the Buck Point Trail, and the vista of Major Butte is lovely. Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Southern Cascade Range. Black Rock
is an interesting site to visit while at Chapman Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Shasta River offers some pleasant whitewater.
This lake is so wonderful. Take a side trip to Cattle Creek. There's so much to do
here at Chapman Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Campers Cove is a great location for that. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Southern Cascade Range has to offer. Throughout the warm days of
summer at Chapman Lake highs are mostly in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Chapman
Lake dip into the 30's.
Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Southern Cascade Range is excellent! Don't leave Chapman Lake without first going for a hike along the Bieberstedt Trail; Dosier Flat is a fine place to check out.
