    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Cedar Grove Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid location for whitewater paddling close to Cedar Grove Lake is Molalla River. An average amount of rainfall falls at Cedar Grove Lake; most of the rain falls throughout December while July is typically the driest month. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Central Cascade Range. If you came for an overnight stay  
   Camp Dakota is a perfect place to camp, and there is a delightful hiking trail nearby called the High Camp Trail.
I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Cedar Grove Lake. Do have a look at Karney Reservoir right next door to Cedar Grove Lake, it's a scenic lake; a wonderful nearby hotel is Oxford Suites Gladstone. For the period of the days of summer here at Cedar Grove Lake, high temperatures usually get into the 80's, and the night
 
               is a little chillier of course, usually in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Cedar Grove Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range.
If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Central Cascade Range. Mollala River - North Fork is a great whitewater spot in close proximity to Cedar Grove Lake, and a pleasant visit to Dickey Prairie is a tremendous way to spend an afternoon. This lake is so wonderful. Clackamette RV Park is a glorious local campground, and golf can be played at Ranch Hills Golf Club. If you need a spot to stay Rivershore Hotel on the Willamette River is a pleasant choice, and Hancock Creek is in the vicinity of Cedar Grove Lake and is always a joy to stop at.
Cedar Creek Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could stop by; on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Pine Crest Trail.

...t Rd narrows and now effectively ends. Actually, it continues, but the road is impeded by a gate sporting many 'no trespassing' signs and marking it 'private property'. When we got to this point, we were just about to turn around and go home when another car drove past us onto the road. Having driven for several hours to get there, we dared to venture further, and followed the car despite the many warnings on the gate. Now, if you are reading this please heed my advice... never do what we did. Do not try to find this trail. Listen to signs. They are usually there for a reason. We could not locate the next road to turn on because all the old street signs had been removed and all of the old turn-offs warned away the unauthorized with huge boulders blocking the road, locked gates and more no-trespassing signs. After taking some pictures of beautifully dilapidated country houses, we decided to call it a day and return home empty handed. However, when we got to the gate we came in through, we found that while we were away, someone had closed and locked it. We were trapped, and not the lea...
