Cavitt Lake is located in the Central Cascade Range. Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is bountiful here in the Central Cascade Range. There are delightful places to look at along the Straight Creek Trail, and if you need a location to stay Best Western Canyonville Inn And Suites is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Umpqua River - South, and you can go for a hike       on the Red Butte Trail. So many entertaining things to do here at Cavitt Lake, too nice to be true. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Cavitt Lake has to offer, you can camp at Shadow Falls Campground. Cavitt Lake gets much water; the month with most of the rain is November, and July is the month with the least moisture. Red Butte is picturesque and can be seen from Cavitt Lake. There's so much to do here at Cavitt Lake that you need to camp                  here for a while, Smith Springs Campground is a tremendous place for that. Through the summertime months at Cavitt Lake highs are regularly in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Cavitt Lake are in the 30's.
