This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Lakeside Trail, and everybody nearby loves skiing at Mt. Bachelor. Cathy Lake is a pretty wet place frequently with a good deal of rainfall; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is July. The top of Pillar Peak is easily seen from Cathy Lake, and whitewater paddling is good on Horse Creek. So much exciting stuff in the       Central Cascade Range, just incredible. Near Cathy Lake you locate the Winopee Lake Trail which is a good hiking trail, and obviously, this is a perfect area for people who like lakes, Barbie Lakes is a lake nearby. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Cathy Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the                  winter temperatures at Cathy Lake drop into the 20's. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Cascade Range. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool things the area close to Cathy Lake has to offer. Willamette Pass is a splendid local ski area; a brilliant spot to camp here at Cathy Lake is Upper Campground. Cathy Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, East Lake Resort and RV Parks is a nice local campground, and going for a hike on the Snowshoe Lake Trail is always a nice adventure. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Central Cascade Range.
